Open Studio, the world’s leading online jazz education platform, seeks exceptional, passionate jazz musicians and instructors to support the education of the growing Open Studio Pro jazz community. Open Studio Pro members at varying skill levels, from beginner to advanced, with concentrations on piano, bass or guitar. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate our international members. The right instructors may be asked to lead their own assigned weekly sessions, and cover core classes for other instructors when needed.
What you would be doing
- Develop lesson plans and lead virtual Guided Practice Sessions to support the education of our Open Studio Pro members.
- Take questions and create a motivating online learning environment where students feel comfortable learning and growing,
Key qualifications
- A highly skilled and experienced jazz musician at piano, bass or guitar.
- Proven experience as an engaging instructor, capable of explaining complex jazz concepts in a clear and accessible way.
- Comfortable teaching virtually and independently managing Zoom, and a willingness to learn more.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster a dynamic online learning environment.
Tech Requirements
- A reliable computer with Zoom, a webcam and microphone for clear audio and video.
- Bonus: External microphone and camera(s) with angles to enhance the online learning experience.
